Every business has a story, ours begins in the early 1980s, in a small shop run by our grandad. Back then, the workshop was a place where almost anything could be fixed: sofas, lawn mowers, and just about anything else that needed repairing. It was a hub of resourcefulness, craftsmanship, and good old‑fashioned hard work.

As the years went by, our family’s passion for furniture grew. We moved from repairing sofas to supplying quality sofas ourselves, while also offering reupholstery services to give tired pieces a new lease of life. Customers trusted us not just to sell them furniture, but to care for it, restore it, and make it part of their homes for years to come.

Then came an unexpected twist in our journey: we became specialists in caravan and motorhome upholstery. It was a niche we fell into naturally, and before long, we were known across the UK for transforming interiors on wheels into spaces of comfort and style.

Today, we’ve come full circle. We’re back to our roots, doing what we love most, supplying quality sofas that combine craftsmanship, durability, and timeless design. Just like our grandad’s shop all those years ago, HFL is still built on the same values: hard work, care, and a belief that furniture should be made to last.
